The semiconductor manufacturers preparing to launch the product components System on Chip (SoC) for mobile devices supports the latest Android operating system, Android 4.2.2 and Android 5.0.
Ass reported by CNET – Samsung, Qualcomm, and NVIDIA are ready to compete in the market of SoC components which combine central processing unit (CPU), an image processing unit (GPU), integrated memory, processors and other components.
“The new processors will support the advanced Android tablets to operate the game with high-definition display, the encroachment Internet faster, low battery power consumption, and of course taking better photos,” said Eric Franklin of CNET.
In competition the SoC components, will carry the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa with eight core ARM architecture-based processor units.
Samsung tend not hasty to simply offer a number of core SoC components, but rather look for components that have a high level of efficiency.
Samsung claims they Octa Exynos processor CPU improves efficiency by 70 percent to 20 percent battery.
On the other hand, seemed to not stop at the Qualcomm 1.5 GHz processor, instead continuing development in pace with a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 which will continue to Snapdragon 800.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 has been used LG Optimus Pro G in which there are 300 four-core Krait CPU and Adreno 320 GPU.
Snapdragon is different from 600, 800 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait CPU 400 which has a speed of 2GHz and Adreno 330 GPU, and there are an estimated 7.2 on the Nexus and Nexus 5.
While, Nvidia is also developing capabilities NVIDIA Tegra processor with the presence of 4-based four-core ARM Cortex A-15 and a battery saver core for low application commands.
Manufacturer Nvidia claims Tegra 4 will be more efficient with the ability to use more power than its predecessor, Nvidia Tegra 3.
Nvidia Tegra 4 also supports a screen resolution of 3200 x 2000 pixels and distribute up to 4000 pixels resolution display with an HDMI connection.
These processors will support the presence of operating system updates Android Jelly Bean with version 4.2.2 and even the latest Android 5.0 which is called Key Lime Pie.
